I'm giving SF Toyota 5 stars based on one specific experience: their response to customer complaints. I had a very expensive repair on a part that was slightly out of warranty and Toyota corporate refused to budge. I blogged about it and generated a lot of chatter on the web to no avail. Then Doug Donnellan, Manager of SF Toyota, called me because of some unflattering things I had said on a customer survey that was sent after the repair. ("Was I satisfied with my experience at SF Toyota? 9(&&( NO! I was not satisfied" and so on.) I was amazed to discover the manager actually reads these things.

I have mostly used other, cheaper mechanics for work on my car. I have used this dealership for small jobs and recalls, such as replacing the airbag. These people know who the customer is. They make it so easy to do business with them. Their software supports the business so well. They called me to arrange recall work instead of me making the call. I am considering using these folks for other maintenance. Sure, a dealership charges a premium price for service, but they deliver premium service. They stand by their work and they get me in and out as quickly as can be expected. Once there were 6 or 7 cars in front of me and I did not have an appointment. I still got out in a little over 10 minutes, which was pretty good.

Great auto shop. They very quickly were able to provide a detailed check on a used car I was considering buying. I would recommend the shop to anyone.

The team is so awesome. They go above and beyond. Will always fill up my gas here (very reasonable, unlike the 76 on Bundy and San Vicente who practices consistent price gouging), Had my tire patched in 40 minutes, and they did a stellar job.
